Fedora operating
system
The
Fedora operating system is under the Linux
distribution system. It is an operating system that the general
public can use for free without any obligation or fee. It would
help if you are familiar with the Linux operating system so
that you can easily use the Fedora. It has a different
structure compared to what you may be used to from using
Windows or MAC, it would be hard to use the features especially
if you are just a beginner in terms of using the system. You
can immediately download this system and install it in your
computer. It has the feature called the “Gparted” that would
allow users to create partitions, edit and delete the
partitions on the hard disk which is usually connected to the
computer that is being powered by Fedora.
Fedora
Operating System
If you need
to create hard disk partition so that you can install the
Fedora, you need to remember that the disk partition will be
seen by the computer as something that is a part of the hard
disk drive. So the first thing that you need to do is to place
the fedora CD in the optical drive of your computer. Click on
the option “system” and proceed to the “administration” before
you can arrive to the Add/Remove software. When you are already
in this location, type Gparted and select the option
“find”. Next is to tick the box that is normally adjacent
to the word “Gparted” for the installation process to begin.
Once this is done, you can now enter the Gparted utility and
select “new”.After this step, you can now determine the form
and the size of the partition that you want to create. You can
also name the partition that you have
created.
Even if you
already have a current and existing operating system, you can
still use the Fedora operating system in a multi-boot
environment. You should arrange how the operating system will
boot up based on what you are often using. In this way, the
operating system that will boot up first is the system that you
are usually using and needing.

The
Fedora operating system is managed and supported by
Linux. Linux is involved in the upgrading and the management of
the system. When it comes to managing hosting, it would include
the administration of the infrastructure that ensures that the
server is functioning well. Security of the server is also
being managed by the hosting provider like the safety of the
firewalls. The software applications are also being seen to by
the host provider.
A fedora
liv CD is also available; users can select four options on the
boot menu. The options on the boot menu are install and upgrade
a system, install system with basic video, rescue installed
system and the boot from local drive. Another option is also
shown, the “Edit installer options”. This option may be
available for the users but it would be wise to just leave it
be if you are not familiar with its use since you might alter
the installation program.
